Giving the broader vault room to grow

After the big expansion in scope, the following week was less about announcing another idea and more about supporting the one already chosen. The recorded work included improvements to record-type imports and a 0.9.2 checkpoint, alongside splitting the increasingly large settings implementation into more focused pieces.

That internal work is easy to leave out of a development diary because it does not produce a striking screenshot. It matters when one application is now looking after different record types, custom templates, imports, vault settings and platform-specific controls. Keeping those responsibilities understandable makes subsequent changes less tangled.

For the person using QueVault, the goal remained straightforward: an imported item should end up as the appropriate kind of record, and the surrounding tools should still feel like one application. Expanding the list of templates is only useful if the import and editing flows can make sense of them.

This was a consolidation week in the available history. It helped turn the early-August shift into something the project could keep building on, rather than immediately layering another large feature over the top.
